A VIP embroidery file, and later the VP3 and VP4, are design files created by Husqvarna-Viking, a Swedish company that creates sewing machines. Computerised embroidery machines such as this those made by this company have been in production since the early 1990's with support for a specialized memory card, floppy disk, and USB connections. The VIP format replaced the HUS format after a merger of the company with PFAFF in the late 1990s. VP3 and VP4 followed with further collaborations and updates.
