By 1990, the company was selling a number of products, amongst them InstallShield which was designed to create installation programs. By 1997, Stirling Technologies estimated that InstallShield was being used in 85-90% of all software products written for Windows. The majority of INX files included with an installation are named \"setup.inx\". This propriety file contains instructions and parameters for the installation.",
